August 2008
Summer Activities Week
Friday 1 – Thursday 7 August
Adult £210 • First Child £150, Subsequent Children £125
This is a perennially popular high-summer week of high action and laid back inaction. But it is always interesting and enjoyable and is geared to the needs of all ages.
Mornings are likely to be spent art and crafting it in the big shed, while the afternoons will be filled with games and outings, swimming and walking trips.
Evenings will find us round the campfire, telling tales or reading a good book together, singing songs, and watching stars. And those are only the official bits! The rest is determined by who comes, who connects, and who makes things happen.
The week begins after 5pm on Friday and ends after breakfast on Thursday. Early booking recommended.
Juggling and Circus Skills
22 – 25 August • Adult £150 • Child (9 – 18yrs) £120
with Jim Semlyen, Jacob Hirsch-Holland, and friends
A long Bank Holiday weekend of learning and improving juggling skills and having fun! There will be structured sessions in juggling, club passing, pole spinning, poi, acrobalance, human pyramids, diabolo, devil stick, ring and plate spinning, and clowning!
As darkness descends, we shall explore the magic of black light in a fluorescent room with props that glow in the dark! And you can join in or just watch a large-scale fire extravaganza with the ceremonial lighting of fire sculptures. There will be a final-night cabaret, a black light performance, and ‘warehouse’ party to write home about!
Suitable for older children but please check arrangements with us before booking.
