Knitting and Spinning Weekend
14 – 16 November • £144 • with Emma Turner
We will be having fun working with wool, concentrating on the fascinating craft of knitting.
If you are interested in learning the craft from scratch, including hand spinning, creating beautiful yarns, designing your own patterns, and perfecting new techniques, then this weekend is for you.
Raw materials will come courtesy of Emma’s flock of Cotswold sheep. Lower Shaw Farm sheep may also make an appearance, both in fleece and in ‘person’. If you have a project you are currently working on, please bring it along. Even problem projects are welcome!
Note: Tools and needles will be provided but there will be a charge for materials, unless you bring your own. For further info, contact Emma on 07887 804667 or email
Living Willow for the Garden
Saturday 15 November 10am – 4pm • £51 (includes lunch)
Suitable for children over 10yrs (£27) with Ruth Parsons During the winter months, when the trees are not in leaf, willow sticks can be pushed into the earth and they will grow. They are extremely flexible and are available in a wide range of colours. This makes them suitable for weaving beautiful structures that will come into leaf in the spring, and grow!
Learn how to make a living willow structure: a seat, arbour, dome, ‘fedge’, or tunnel.
