12 – 14 November • £135

As well as learning how to prepare tasty and nutritious meals and snacks, you will also have the opportunity to learn about healthy eating from our nutritional therapist Josie, who will be on hand to answer questions, clear up all the mixed messages and myths about foods and diets, and give advice on different dietary needs. You will go home with many new recipes, and the inspiration to be creative in the kitchen!

It is possible to attend for the Saturday only 9.30am – 4.00pm. £51 including lunch and refreshments.

Working Weekend

19 – 21 November • No charge

This is a chance to get to know the farm, turn your hand to old jobs and new, enjoy good company and good food too!

Our Working Weekends are run in the spirit of the wonderful WWOOF organisation: we feed and accommodate you, you work, with us. No money changes hands. An opportunity to have bright ideas by the compost heap, happy talk in the hen house, and cool chat in the kitchen. Join us to prove that many hands make light work and that today’s stranger is tomorrow’s friend. For more information on WWOOF, see www.wwoof.org.uk.

Knitting and Spinning Weekend

Two days of Wool-craft with Emma Turner

Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 November

10am to 4pm each day • £48 per day

Come for either or both – B&B and evening meals available on Friday and/or Saturday nights for £30 per night.

Working with wool is fun, as is exploring knitting techniques to create our own one-of-a-kind masterpieces. Raw materials will come courtesy of Emma's flock of Cotswold sheep, and the Lower Shaw Farm sheep and their fleece may also make an appearance.

Sat 27th: Spinning and spinning a yarn, creating unique hand spun yarns with both drop spindle and spinning wheel. Beginner or lapsed spinners will find this course particularly suitable.

Sun 28th: Knitting and knitting it up! A chance to design your own patterns and perfect new techniques. If you have a project you are currently working on, please bring it along. Even problem projects are welcome! All knitting skill levels welcome including absolute novices. For further information, contact Emma on 07887 804667 or email

Note: On both days tools and needles will be provided but there will be a charge for materials, unless you bring your own.
