Barbara Hicks and Mary Maguire

A lively spring weekend to energise us after the winter!

Yoga works not only on the body but also calms and sharpens the mind and leads to all–round alertness.

Iyengar Yoga classes will be taught in a way that is suited to beginners and more experienced practitioners. The focus will be on postures to improve flexibility, strength, and balance. The weekend will also include sessions on giving and receiving a relaxing and toning massage, covering different areas of the body.

On Saturday there will be an early morning Pranayama (breath control) class, then following breakfast, a two hour asana (postures) class, and a massage class. After lunch the options are to relax at the farm, or go on a led walk in the local countryside. In the late afternoon there is a choice between a restorative asana session, or a massage class. On Sunday morning, the programme will be the same as Saturday’s, with a late lunch. Departures during the afternoon, from about 3pm.

Group size: about 24.

Barbara is an experienced teacher of Iyengar Yoga classes both here and in London. Mary teaches and practices intuitive massage here and in Devon.

This yoga weekend is now fully booked. Please email to be placed on the waiting list for cancellations. Other yoga and wellbeing weekends are available at the end of March, and in June, July, and September.
